From the roaster
Right from the first sip you're hit with that distinct and delightful not of hard candy, particularly the grape flavoured ones. For those of you that grew up eating Fox's you know what we're on about. As the cup cool it gets sweeter and sweeter bringing juicy tropical fruits like pineapple to the fore. Swallow and you're left with the mellow lingering sweetness reminiscent of ripe melon. We cupped quite a few excellent coffees for this edition's vibrant but this one really stood out and we think you'll love it too! PRO TIP We enjoy this coffee black using a brew temperature of 92-94C and a coffee to water ratio of 1:16. This coffee is also very lightly roasted and therefore benefits from what is known as resting. Check the roast date on the bag and try and wait a week to 10 days before brewing to get the best results in the cup. Estate: Karadykan Producer: Hamsini Appadurai Region: Chikmagalur, KA Elevation (masl): 1350 Varietal: Catimor Processing: Naturals Fermentation: Anaerobic Roast Level: Light Resting Time: 10 days
