It is about the coffee that is nurtured by this ecosystem and thrives only because every single organism (including humans) plays a conscious and balanced role. Krishnagiri Coffee is beyond the pale understanding of social media, it is an ineffable feeling that can only be understood by experiencing the land and its ecosystem. It is more than just Coffee! As for us, we are playing our small part in safeguarding the future of this land while finding innovative and sustainable ways to craft a perfect cup of Indian Coffee. Roasters thought : 1615 was built around the idea of elevation. The West Giri Hills rise to approximately 1,615 metres above sea level, a point where cooler temperatures and slower cherry maturation contribute to greater complexity and sweetness in the final cup. Rather than highlighting a single lot, we chose to assemble a blend of complementary high-grown coffees from the estate to capture a broader expression of the region. The roast profile follows a light-medium approach with restrained airflow, stable energy application, and extended development. This allows the coffee to build density and sweetness without sacrificing the fruit character that defines the blend. Our objective was to create a coffee that feels expansive rather than intense. The resulting cup opens with vibrant fruit notes reminiscent of watermelon and orange liqueur before settling into a softer floral finish. As the coffee cools, the sweetness becomes increasingly pronounced, revealing a layered structure that remains clean and balanced throughout. 1615 is our interpretation of the West Giri Hills, expressed through altitude, landscape, and season rather than any single process or variety. Brew Approach: 18 GMS Med-Fine (Fellow Ode Gen 2.0, 3.8 Setting)50 ML bloom 45 seconds Swirl immediately after pourThen 80 MLThen At 1.30 again 80 MLThen again 80 ML to finish it off with gentle swirl in the end. Water at 94° Celsius (TDS not more than 140 PPM). For more brightness (lime forward)→ go slightly coarser + reduce final pour agitation For more sweetness (jaggery heavy)→ grind finer + extend brew closer to 3 Minutes
